Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about our services, beliefs, and ministries. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we would be honored to speak with you personally.
1. What should I expect in a Sunday service?
Our services are centered on worshiping the Lord through prayer, congregational singing, and Bible preaching. We sing traditional, Christ-honoring hymns and give careful attention to the clear teaching of Scripture. Our desire is that every service points hearts to Jesus Christ and strengthens believers through God’s Word.
2. What should I wear?
You don’t need to dress up to attend our services. Many who come do choose to out of a reverence for the Lord, but there is no pressure or stigma placed on those who come in more casual attire. What matters most is that you're here to hear from God.
3. What Bible do you use?
We use the King James Version (KJV) in our services and preaching. The KJV faithfully and accurately preserves God’s Word in English and has strengthened believers for generations. Bibles are available if you do not have one.
4. What kind of music do you have?
Our music is reverent and Christ-centered. We sing traditional hymns and spiritual songs that emphasize biblical truth and congregational worship. Our goal is not performance, but lifting our voices together in praise to the Lord.
5. How long are your services?
Sunday morning services are typically about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Sunday evening and midweek services are usually about one hour.
6. Do you have nursery or children’s classes?
Yes. We provide a safe nursery and age-appropriate classes for children for Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Evenings. Our goal is to teach biblical truth in a way young hearts can understand and apply.
7. Is there something for teenagers?
Yes. Our teen ministry on Sunday Afternoons focuses on strong biblical foundations, godly friendships, and helping young people develop a personal walk with Christ. Teens are also encouraged to participate in the main services.
8. What does it mean to be Independent Baptist?
We are self-governing under the authority of Christ and the Word of God. We are not part of a denomination or convention. Each local church is accountable directly to the Lord and guided by Scripture in doctrine and practice.
9. How can I become a member?
Membership is available to those who have trusted Christ as their Saviour and have followed Him in Scriptural believer’s baptism. If you are interested, we would be glad to speak with you personally and answer your questions.
10. What should I give?
We don’t pass an offering plate during the service. We believe offerings are to be given, not taken. Those who desire to give may do so freely and cheerfully—either online through our giving portal or by using the offering box located in the back of the sanctuary.
If you are visiting, please do not feel obligated to give. We are not seeking a gift from our guests.
